I am so excited for March Madness. I watched the entire championship game last year, and the madness held up to its reputation. I cannot wait for March Madness to start because of Gonzaga. I have never been interested in them much, but after yesterday's loss against the BYU Cougars, I am very excited to see how they will respond. All year, checking stats and seeing that Gonzaga blew out its opponents by 24 points, I was wondering how they would respond in a close game. In my opinion, Gonzaga should be thankful they experienced a true close game. Imagine going into March, being undefeated, having the conference title under your belt, and holding the number 1 seed, and then losing in the 1st, 2nd, or even 3rd round. It would be heartbreaking to come into March being perfect in every way, shape, and form, just to lose to gritty teams that have been battling all year long. Going against the blow for blow mentality of the BIG 12, or the ice in your vein clutchness of the PAC 12, or the established Blue Bloods of the ACC, it seems impossible for such a perfect team to win. Now that they have faced adversity, Nigel Williams-Goss and Przemek Karnowski will respond by getting to the Final Four, and they might even win a championship. With their first loss, Gonzaga has the passion, the grit, and the potential to be #1, and the "King Of The Dance."
